Selecting the mounting area

• Select a rigid, stable, smooth, dry surface that is large enough for the complete adhesive pad.
• 100% of the 3M VHB adhesive surface must be in direct contact with the installation area. Gaps, lifted edges, unsupported sections and curved areas that prevent full contact are not acceptable.
• Do not install on strongly curved, textured, porous, flexible, cracked, damaged, oily, waxed, silicone-treated or hydrophobic-coated surfaces.
• Do not install over stickers, wraps, removable trim or surfaces whose own adhesion is unknown.
• Check full steering movement and suspension travel. The holder and can must not interfere with the handlebars, levers, throttle, cables, fork, suspension, wheels, controls, visibility or rider position.
• Keep away from the exhaust, engine, radiator, hot pipes and other heat sources. Avoid areas where the holder or can may overheat during prolonged sun exposure.

Surface preparation

1. Wash and dry the mounting area. Remove dust, grease, wax, silicone and detailing products.
2. Test the alcohol wipe on an inconspicuous area to confirm compatibility with the motorcycle finish.
3. Clean the area using one of the supplied alcohol wipes and allow it to dry completely.
4. Do not touch the cleaned surface or the adhesive after removing the protective liner.

Installing the holder

1. Position the holder with the liner still fitted. Confirm full adhesive contact, can orientation and the clearance needed to pass the strap around the can.
2. If the adhesive cannot make full contact, select another location. Do not compensate for gaps using excessive pressure, improvised heating or fillers.
3. Remove the protective liner and apply the holder once in its final position.
4. Press firmly and evenly across the complete adhesive area without deforming the holder or the motorcycle surface.
5. Do not reposition or reuse the adhesive after removal. Remounting requires a new compatible adhesive pad.
6. Allow at least 72 hours at moderate temperature and without load before road use.
7. Fit the hook-and-loop strap through the central area of the holder so that it can be passed around the can.
8. Install both supplied cable ties through the mounting points at the ends of the holder whenever the motorcycle configuration permits. Tighten sufficiently to prevent movement without damaging the holder or the motorcycle part.

Downward-facing installation: the retention strap and both cable ties are strongly recommended. A full 500 ml can that detaches towards the road becomes a hazard to you, to other road users and to property. If a safe secondary restraint cannot be fitted, select another mounting position.

Inserting and removing the can

• Use only full, sealed, unopened, undamaged and dimensionally compatible cans.
• Insert the can and confirm that the holder geometry retains it securely, then fasten the hook-and-loop strap around the can.
• The strap must be tight enough to limit can movement without deforming or damaging the can.
• Apply a moderate pull to confirm retention before riding.
• Stop the motorcycle in a safe place before inserting, removing or checking the can.
• Do not open, drink from or handle the beverage while riding.
• Do not use the product for any other object.

Inspection before every ride

• Inspect the holder before every ride, including after long stops.
• Visually inspect the entire adhesive edge; no edge should be lifted, detached or contaminated.
• Apply a moderate push and pull to identify movement or partial detachment.
• Inspect the holder for cracks, deformation, layer separation, impact damage or heat softening.
• Inspect the strap, the hook-and-loop area and the plastic buckle for wear, cuts, slackening or damage.
• Inspect both cable ties, their locking heads, tension and any cracks or wear, if fitted.
• Confirm that the can is intact, full, sealed and securely retained by the holder and the strap.
• Repeat the inspection after rain, washing, a fall, impact, severely damaged roads, strong shocks or prolonged heat exposure.

Stop use immediately

• If the holder is cracked, deformed, loose or partially detached.
• If full adhesive contact is no longer present or if the can is not securely retained.
• Replace any damaged cable tie or strap immediately. Do not use the product with a cut or slackened strap, worn hook-and-loop or a cracked buckle.
• If the product has been modified, drilled, sanded, heated, repaired or exposed to unknown chemicals.
• If there is any doubt about the installation or condition, do not ride with a can installed.

Further warnings

• The product is intended solely for transporting one compatible can that is full, sealed and intact.
• A full 500 ml can that detaches may become a hazard to the rider, to other road users and to property.
• It is not intended for track, off-road or competition use.
• Do not leave the can installed while the motorcycle is parked in strong sunlight or other excessive-heat conditions.

User responsibility

The product must be installed, inspected and used strictly in accordance with the supplied instructions.

The user is responsible for selecting a suitable mounting surface, ensuring full contact between the adhesive and the installation area, fastening the retention strap correctly, fitting the cable ties whenever the position permits and especially for downward-facing installations, and inspecting the product before every ride.

Do not use the product if it is cracked, deformed, loose, partially detached or no longer retains the can securely.

Use contrary to the supplied instructions may result in detachment of the holder or can and may cause an accident, personal injury or property damage.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect installation, product modification, use with incompatible or damaged containers, reuse of the adhesive, or failure to follow the supplied installation, inspection and safety instructions.
